HippoBase is an internet-based software system which aims to simplify the data exchange between national federations and organizers of international equestrian events.
HippoBase allows national federations to maintain horse and competitor data in a national archive. The archive can then be used to compose efficiently a list of participants for an international event. By giving organizers direct access to such a list of participants as structured electronical data, HippoBase opens unprecedented possibilities for reporting and data handling during the preparation of an event.
Besides the functions focused on sports data, HippoBase offers sophisticated event management functions. Members of an organizing committee can cooperate via internet on hotel bookings and accreditation not only for participants but also for a large number of guests, staff, officials and media.
In contrast to computer result service companies, HippoBase does not deal with the on-site data handling during an event. It concentrates on supporting organizers during the often stressful preparation phase of an event.
